A apresentação do relatório da farmacêutica Stada aconteceu esta quinta-feira na Reitoria da Universidade Nova de Lisboa, em que se analisou o estado dos sistemas de saúde na Europa, com foco nos resultados obtidos para Portugal.
ais de metade dos portugueses diz já ter sofrido ou estar perto de sofrer um burnout, pelo estado de elevada tensão emocional e stresse devido a condições de trabalho desgastantes. Esta foi uma das conclusões do STADA Health Report 2022, apresentado esta quinta-feira, em que foram inquiridos 30 000 europeus, incluindo 1997 em Portugal.
A Stada Arzneimittel AG é uma farmacêutica alemã que está em Portugal desde 2005 e que começou a fazer este tipo de estudo na Alemanha, em 2014, para entender os níveis de literacia médica no país. Em 2018, decidiram expandir o estudo para o nível europeu. “O objetivo desta reunião é a partilha da informação que resulta deste estudo com todos os stakeholders para que possamos discutir e oferecer um melhor serviço à população”, diz Ana Ferreira.
Ema Paulino, presidente da Associação Nacional de Farmácias (ANF), Hélder Mota Filipe, bastonário da Ordem dos Farmacêuticos apresentaram os resultados do estudo com numa conversa moderada pela e a jornalista Vera Lúcia Arreigoso.
De acordo com os quase dois mil portugueses que responderam ao inquérito são na sua maioria instruídos, com trabalho qualificado e 57% habita em meios urbanos.
Hélder Mota Filipe fez questão de reforçar que o facto de esta ser a caracterização da população portuguesa que respondeu poder ter alguma influência nos resultados que foram obtidos. “Acredito que se o estudo tivesse sido feito de outra forma que não online, os resultados poderiam ser diferentes”, considerou a presidente da Associação Nacional de Farmácias, Ema Paulino.
A primeira conclusão deste relatório aponta que a confiança nos profissionais de saúde diminuiu, mas continua a ser dos valores mais altos dos 15 países incluídos no estudo. Os investigadores são os que atualmente reúnem maior confiança da parte dos portugueses, o que pode estar relacionado com a forma como estes ganharam grande importância na luta contra a pandemia e o regresso à vida dita normal. Em segundo lugar, a confiança de 74% dos inquiridos está depositada nos médicos, e em terceiro lugar, com 69%, está nos epidemiologistas e prestadores de cuidados.
A importância do papel da farmácia e do farmacêutico esteve em cima da mesa, com tanto Ema Paulino como Hélder Mota Filipe a considerarem que é necessário tornar a farmácia numa entrada no Serviço Nacional de Saúde (SNS).
“Faltam-nos as vias verdes para encaminhar e sinalizar as pessoas que vemos e precisam de ajuda. Especialmente porque após encaminharmos uma pessoa não sabemos o que acontece depois, é necessária uma maior coordenação com o SNS”, considerou Ema Paulino.
Outras das grandes conclusões do estudo é que a satisfação com o sistema de saúde tem vindo a diminuir, valor que passou de 74% em 2021 para 64% este ano. O bastonário da Ordem dos Farmacêuticos considera que este declínio está associado à queda de confiança nos profissionais de saúde.
Saúde mental degrada-se
A saúde mental dos portugueses também se tem vindo a deteriorar, com quase metade dos adultos portugueses (47%) a dizer que os seus níveis de stress pioraram com o início da pandemia.
O burnout também se tornou numa realidade para muitos. “O burnout é algo que vem acumulando e é normal que as pessoas sintam agora, dois anos depois, este esgotamento. O facto de terem de gerir o stress e outras obrigações fez com que só agora sentissem este esgotamento”, explica Hélder Mota Filipe.
A necessidade de voltar a conjugar todos os aspetos das nossas vidas, tanto presencialmente como à distância, trouxe às pessoas um sentimento de assoberbamento. O esbatimento das fronteiras entre aquele que é o espaço pessoal e o espaço profissional também acaba por contribuir para o burnout.
Estar com os amigos e recorrer aos hobbies é a principal forma que os portugueses procuram para lidar com a sua saúde mental. O descanso, exercício e o cuidar de si mesmo também entram na lista dos inquiridos. Os medicamentos são uma opção para 35% dos inquiridos. Tanto o bastonário da Ordem dos Farmacêuticos como a presidente da Associação Nacional de Farmácias consideram que a utilização de medicação para tratar a doença mental não deve ser demonizada, pois em certos casos pode ser uma das poucas opções.
“Não tenho a certeza se os médicos conseguem gerir a prescrição de medicamentos em todo o seu processo, e é aí que o papel dos farmacêuticos é importante”, explica Hélder Mota Filipe. Entendem que uma abordagem multidisciplinar entre as farmácias e o Serviço Nacional de Saúde, se pode tratar as questões da saúde mental da melhor forma possível.
Segundo os resultados do inquérito, 59% dos portugueses dizem que estariam dispostos a procurar um psicólogo ou um psiquiatra para tratar da sua saúde mental. O facto de os inquiridos serem mais instruídos e com trabalho qualificado pode ser uma explicação para o valor obtido ter sido alto. Portugal está entre os que mais se esforçam para falar da saúde mental com um clínico geral.
“Embora seja preocupante confirmar a deterioração do estado de saúde física e mental da população portuguesa nos últimos dois anos, é encorajador confirmar a elevada confiança nos profissionais de saúde”, comenta Ana Ferreira, diretora-geral da Stada em Portugal.
